Council awards Innovation Way contract to Wondra Construction for $2.10 million

The Common Council voted to award the Innovation Way roadway and utility extension contract to Wondra Construction, the low bidder at $2,101,928.12, approving Resolution No. 3784 unanimously.
City Engineer Walter told the Common Council that five bids were received for the full build-out of Innovation Way and that the lowest bid came from Wondra Construction at $2,101,928.12. On a motion by Alderperson Turchi, seconded by Alderperson Savage, the council adopted Resolution No. 3784 to award the contract.
"The lowest Bid was from Wondra Construction for $2,101,928.12 for a full road build out of Innovation Way," City Engineer Walter said. Council members recorded no objections and the motion carried unanimously.
The award follows city review of five competitive bids opened June 18, 2026. Craig Zeller of Zeller Transportation spoke during public comment in favor of the resolution prior to the council vote. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
