The City of Hartford Common Council on June 23 adopted Resolution No. 3786 to create Tax Incremental District No. 14, which the city said will support the Innovation Way extension and related development in the district. City Planner Jacob Maas outlined the plan and rationale during the council’s presentation.
"The reason for the creation of TID #14 is Innovation Way extension, Industry retention, and future development of HADC/City of Hartford property," City Planner Jacob Maas said. The council voted to adopt the resolution on a motion by Alderperson Webb, seconded by Alderperson Turchi; the motion carried unanimously.
Planner Maas also walked council members through how a TID functions and identified the district’s largest anticipated projects. The action sets the project plan and establishes the district boundaries; the resolution was approved without amendment. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
