Christopher Methvin sworn in as Olmsted Falls fire chief; praises mutual-aid partners

Christopher Methvin was sworn in as Olmsted Falls Fire Chief at the May 26 council meeting. Mayor Chad Gluss administered the oath of office and recognized past chiefs in the audience; Methvin thanked the former chiefs and mutual-aid partners and said the department’s collaborative response had shaped his career.
Methvin told those assembled that recruits learn that "nobody fights alone," noting the presence of neighboring chiefs and firefighters at the swearing-in. Mayor Gluss said Methvin’s official start date is June 1 and Interim Chief Randy Kimbro will remain in the interim role through May 31 while Methvin fulfills prior commitments.
