Olmsted Falls City Council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 29-2026 calling on the Ohio Legislature to authorize community energy pilot programs. Council Pro-Tem Megan Coy moved to adopt the resolution on third reading and the measure passed on a voice/roll call vote of 7–0.
Law Director Max Rieker briefed council on the bill’s status in Columbus, stating, "HB 303 passed the House and is still in committee in the Ohio Senate." Council members said they wanted the city’s position recorded in support of local pilot authority while state committees continue deliberations.
