Township counsel and planning staff explained that because the changes are substantial the ordinance must be re‑advertised and a new public hearing scheduled; any pending applications filed under the old rules will continue to be governed by prior language until appeals or reapplications progress. The board moved and approved the re‑advertisement by voice vote and will consider comments at the next meeting.
The manager clarified the re‑advertisement does not retroactively change existing adjudicated matters; the new language will apply to actions filed after adoption and to future applications.
