The Flagstaff City Council adopted Resolution 2026-43 on July 31, 2026, officially canvassing the July 21 primary election results. Stacy Salzberg, the city's communication and civic engagement director, told the council: "The total number of ballots cast was 10,035 out of 37,876 registered voters for a 26.49% voter turnout." The council voted to adopt the resolution by voice vote.
Salzberg said seven candidates sought nomination in the primary and that six will advance to the November general election. She listed the advancing candidates as Austin Aslan, Nancy Baca, Patty Hanson, Cara House, Lori Matthews and Drew Stanley. The general election is scheduled for November 3, 2026, when voters will elect one mayor and three council members.
