Union City Borough Council on Oct. 7 approved using $39,060.20 in American Rescue Plan Act funds to cover stormwater repairs in Municipal Lot #1 and to close off a catch basin in Hogan’s Alley.
Borough Manager Cindy Wells told the council the ARPA fund total is $194,413 and that $160,000 was previously designated toward the Willow Street Bridge, with $25,000 of that already spent. The motion to approve the $39,060.20 allocation was made by Councilor Joyce and seconded by Councilor Steadman and recorded as carried.
