TCAT and Gadabout clear most findings in FTA triennial review; procurement items remain

Frank Doldo and TCAT/Gadabout staff briefed the legislature on the FTA triennial review and the county's follow-up. Officials said TCAT and Gadabout received strong marks overall and worked with county staff to address earlier deficiencies; county-level procurement items remain open because the county is the federal grant recipient and must ensure systemwide compliance.
Doldo told the legislature that previous reviews had been problematic but that county and transit staff improved coordination and produced a plan to correct remaining procurement items. He said the county will submit an updated procurement policy and requested changes to the FTA, then bring the updated policy back to the legislature for approval once the FTA accepts the corrective action plan.
Committee members praised the collaborative effort and asked for continued oversight to ensure the county closes outstanding items and documents compliance before the next review cycle.
