Summary
The Dorset Design Review Committee voted unanimously to approve two permit applications on Aug. 19: Chico Excavating’s work for 2999 West Road and Mark Daniels’ wood shed at 78 Church Street (conditional on roof and paint). 1) Chico Excavating for Dov Plowski, 2999 West Road — approved. Motion by Arnie Gottlieb; seconded by Ruth Tanenhaus. Committee noted driveway surface is gravel and that some work appears to have been completed prior to applying for a permit.
2) Mark Daniels, 78 Church Street — approved with conditions requiring that the shed be painted white and roofed in slate or a low-gloss standing-seam metal matching the house. Motion by Arnie Gottlieb; seconded by Ruth Tanenhaus. The committee cited sections 2203.I and 2203.L regarding compatibility, materials and roofing.
Both motions passed unanimously. The committee adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
