The library working group updated the Commission on Diversity Awareness about outreach and ongoing projects at the July 31 meeting.
The working-group contributor reported that volunteers tabled at a community event, used QR codes and interest forms for an LGBTQ+ oral-history project, and are collecting sources for a 'little library' project. "We did table the library tabled, at Bridal and we had our QR codes and our interest forms for the LGBTQ plus oral history project," the working-group contributor said.
The contributor also said their commission term ends Sept. 1 but offered to continue participating as a community member or reapply for a future term. Staff said they would follow up offline about succession for the group's work and ensure continuity for ongoing projects.
Ending: The working group will continue project work this summer; the commission agreed to discuss any transition or reappointment steps outside the meeting.
