Town Manager Rob Gaiotti reported that the housing-capacity study for Raptor Lane is nearly complete and that test pits were dug by E&K as part of the study. The town anticipates receiving cost estimates for preliminary design and engineering and plans to engage a real-estate consultant to advise on options for workforce and senior housing.
Board members discussed using a local-option tax to fund infrastructure at Raptor Lane so costs would not fall to taxpayers directly, but members concluded the project is not far enough along to present a local-option tax at the 2025 Town Meeting. The Selectboard directed staff to continue study and bring more detailed cost and design information back to the board.
