Committee establishes township 'fourth round' need under Fair Housing Act

Michael Napuda, the COAH attorney, explained the history and purpose of COAH rounds and said the fourth round covers a ten-year planning period; he told the Committee that adopting the round documentation helps the Township comply with state housing rules and can provide certain protections from litigation when done correctly.
Committee members voted in favor without dissent; no amendments or roll-call objections were recorded in the meeting minutes. The resolution directs staff to file the appropriate documentation to maintain compliance with state fair-housing requirements.
