Dorset Selectboard approves first pay requisition for new Town Office construction

The Dorset Selectboard on Aug. 20 approved Pay Requisition No. 1 for the new Town Office construction, voting 3-0 to authorize payment of expenses through July 30. Frank Parent moved to approve the requisition and Jim Salsgiver seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Town Manager Rob Gaiotti presented the requisition and updated the board on site progress. He said, "Pay Requestion is included in this meetings info, expense through July 30th for construction. Things are on track thus far." Board members did not request changes to the request during the meeting.
The approval allows contractor payments to proceed while the project moves toward framing later in September. The manager also told the board that footings and frost walls are complete, backfilling and slab insulation have begun, and the project remains on schedule and on budget so far.
