Before and after the floor debate the Assembly took up a series of legislative resolutions and ceremonial recognitions. The clerk read multiple short resolutions memorializing the governor to proclaim: International Mother Language Day (02/21/2025); Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Day (02/24/2025); 'Grama Bin Safety Week' (Feb. 16–22, 2025); and February 2025 as 'Library Lovers Month.' Each resolution was adopted by voice vote.
Members also recognized visiting delegations and nonprofit leaders including representatives from the Adirondack Council (50th anniversary), Met Council on Jewish Poverty, Casita Maria, and a Timbuktu Institute youth delegation from CUNY/Medgar Evers and SUNY partners. Delegations were extended floor privileges and welcomed by the Speaker's office.
The Assembly adopted the resolutions en bloc and then stood adjourned until 12 PM on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
