Rhonda Hodges sworn in as mayor; trustees assigned committees and clerk reappointed

The board reconvened at 7:15 p.m. and Attorney Alster administered oaths to newly elected officials. "Attorney Alster swore in the following board members. Rhonda Hodges – Mayor. Rodney Smith – 4-year trustee. Terri Baker- 4-year trustee. Jennifer Bassett – 2-year trustee," the minutes record.
Mayor Rhonda Hodges said, given the number of trustees, they would operate without standing committees and instead have each trustee act as chair for specific areas: Terri as Zoning chair, Ben as Water chair, Rodney remaining Streets & Alleys chair, and Jennifer as Finance chair. Rhonda also said she would reappoint Terry Francis Wright as village clerk and appointed Terry as the village OMA & FOIA officer.
