The Council on July 7 adopted RESOLUTION NO. 26-063-RS authorizing the Parish President to file applications with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for Federal Transit Administration formula grants for rural areas (49 C.F.R. 5311). The resolution directs the Parish President to sign required assurances, comply with Title VI civil‑rights obligations, and adopt affirmative minority-business policies for procurement.
Separately, the Council adopted RESOLUTION NO. 26-064-RS authorizing the Parish President to execute Local Public Agency agreements with DOTD for two bridge projects: Ti-Adam Guidry Bridge over Coulee (State Project H.015508 / Federal Aid H015508) and Huval Street over True Canal (State Project H.015509 / Federal Aid H015509). The minutes note reimbursement/disbursement funding and LPA training requirements.
Both resolutions were approved by unanimous vote. Parish staff will proceed with application submittals and LPA compliance obligations as required by DOTD.
