City manager highlights August accomplishments, upcoming performing arts center meetings

Greer said the city held a community meeting about the performing arts center bond and has two more scheduled (Oct. 1 at Park Place and Oct. 16 at City Hall). She noted progress on public‑safety training (five probationary firefighters began EMT school), BizLab business accelerator sign‑ups, park improvements at Newtown Park and Cawley Creek, and early construction activity on the Johns Creek Parkway corridor improvements and the Medlock Bridge pedestrian tunnel. Greer encouraged residents to attend the Sep. 30 boardwalk preview and said the Jonesbridge Road project has moved to landscaping and beautification.
