Council rezones Orchard Park Drive for commercial parking to serve Andy's Endiglo Club

The St. Martin Parish Council voted July 7 to rezone a portion of Orchard Park Drive from R-2 (Mixed Residential) to C-2 (General Commercial) to permit a parking lot to serve Andy's Endiglo Club at 1002 Orchard Park Drive in Breaux Bridge.
The ordinance (26-07-1548-OR) imposes conditions: a six-foot privacy fence along the southern boundary, ingress/egress from Louisiana Highway 31, and a requirement that the property remain parking for Andy's Endiglo Club so long as the property is owned by Andrew Babineaux. The motion to adopt was made by Chris Courville and seconded by Corey Melancon; the roll call shows YEAS from seven members and a single NAY from Vincent Alexander.
The ordinance becomes effective upon the Parish President's signature; the change permits commercial parking adjacent to a club that previously would not be allowed under R-2 zoning. Clerk Brooke Thibodeaux recorded the vote and declared the ordinance adopted on July 7, 2026.
