City staff updated the Public Arts Commission on event planning and the Arts Master Plan at the July 23 meeting. The liaison said the Chalk Walk vendor application is live on EventHub and that 31 vendors are already approved; she encouraged commission members to promote vendor recruitment and volunteer for event-day tasks.
The Arts Master Plan consultant team recently visited Chamblee and has completed most stakeholder interviews; staff said a community survey will be published next week and remain open through mid-September to gather public input. "We already have 31 vendors approved, which is awesome," staff said, and commissioners discussed distribution plans, QR codes for in-person response at Chalk Walk and incentives to boost response rates.
The commission also agreed to add ongoing 'PAC tasks' items to future agendas to track volunteer assignments, RFQ/RFP deadlines and project milestones.
