Council hires economic development consultant after department retirement

Browning said the council had worked out an agreement with Middlesex Consulting to help with economic development duties and described Beasley as a strong candidate with experience as a county administrator and municipal city administrator. “He’s fantastic. I’m really excited to start working with him,” an administration member said.
Council approved the ordinance as an emergency measure by voice vote; staff will execute the consultant agreement and return with any necessary administrative details.
