Council authorized city administration to advertise a Request for Letters of Interest for design and engineering services for the Alexis Road and Stewart Road waterline improvement project.
Public Service staff described the scope as approximately 2,400 feet of waterline replacement and noted a goal of creating a loop with Regency Hospital on Alexis Road to add redundancy to hospital service connections. Staff said residents along Stewart Road had indicated willingness to assist with easements and that the project could be extended by petition if residents choose to extend water service further. Council moved and approved the LOI process as an emergency action, allowing administration to solicit and receive proposals for design services.
Councilmember Murphy recommended proceeding immediately with the LOI process and the motion carried by voice vote.
