At the end of the meeting planning staff gave administrative updates: staff reported that Avalon has processed 408 approved transient rental licenses or CUPs and that two application spots remain for the next processing round. Staff said they are confirming chronological order of remaining applicants to allocate those final slots fairly. The same staff member reminded commissioners that Form 700 filings are due April 1.
Staff also previewed the next round of housing-element implementation, saying the commission will start consideration of ADU ordinance updates next month and that the code changes will be broken into chunks over coming months to manage workload. "We are at 408 approved transient rental or transient rentals or CUPs," staff noted; commissioners acknowledged the update and adjourned the meeting.
