Chair Boatright resigns from Planning Commission, urges civility for master‑plan process

In his remarks Boatright pleaded with residents and fellow commissioners "to be civil, respectful, collaborative, and eliminate false accusations during the next amended master plan process," citing his desire for more constructive community engagement during future planning efforts. He said his reason for serving was "to meet people" and reflected on past experiences with the master‑plan review process.
Boatright’s resignation is recorded in the meeting minutes; the commission did not take a formal vote on the resignation at this meeting. The vacancy and any process to fill it will follow city procedures.
