Board approves $1.16 million change order for FY 2024/25 gravity sewer improvements

The Ross Valley Sanitary District Board approved Contract Change Order No. 2 for the FY 2024/25 Gravity Sewer Improvements Project (#958) with Glosage Engineering, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $1,164,906.30.
Senior Engineer Benedetti said the additional work will reduce or eliminate infiltration and inflow (I&I) and address defects in vulnerable areas. General Manager Steve Moore told the Board that "an emergency repair was also included, made possible by the Engineering and Operations teams’ quick communication and effective teamwork." The Board approved the change order unanimously on a motion by Gaffney/Boorstein.
Why it matters: the added work targets areas with known vulnerabilities and is consistent with the original contract scope and unit pricing, according to staff. The change order authorizes substantial additional construction to improve system reliability.
