Mister Waters introduced two preliminary rate resolutions for street‑lighting districts. Finance staff said the proposed annual assessment for the Shadow Ridge Street Lighting District is $150 per lot (a $5 decrease attributed to lower power bills and use of fund balance) and the proposed annual assessment for Briarwood South is $85 per lot (a $5 increase) because of different fixture counts and types.
Council moved and approved each preliminary rate resolution on separate roll calls; staff reiterated that the TRIM notice will provide required public notice and that the rates set tonight are maximums that can be adopted at the final hearings.
