Residents, MAC say abandoned-dog problem persists; local rescue of 11 puppies reported

Council members said problems with uncontained and abandoned dogs continue to affect the community. John Haschak reported ongoing issues and said the Care-a-van is being finished in Arizona and should be available to provide animal-health services in March or April 2025.
Kathy Britton noted that a local rescue volunteer, Barbara Thrasher, recently received 11 puppies found abandoned by someone collecting recycling. The MAC kept the item on the agenda for future updates and possible actions once the Care-a-van is operational.
