Round Valley MAC asks sheriff's office to review graffiti on Inspiration Point monument

Michelle Merrifield told the Round Valley MAC that the Inspiration Point monument along Highway 162 was vandalized with spray paint she described as light-blue and that the concrete parts of the monument were covered; the incident has been reported to both the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office and tribal police.
Members suggested bringing the issue to an upcoming MCSO meeting and discussed installing a game camera to deter future vandalism. Merrifield described the damage: "They used a light blue color and wrote all over the cement parts of the monument." The MAC did not take a binding action but recorded the report and suggested law-enforcement referral for investigation.
