MASEF gives $19,492.49 to Marengo Union 165 for music, STEM and attendance incentives

The board accepted a $19,492.49 donation from the Marengo Area School Education Foundation (MASEF) to support music and STEM supplies and to provide gift cards for attendance incentives.
"The District is receiving a check from MASEF in the amount of $19,492.49 which will be used to offset cost of risers from last year, purchase additional band instruments storage lockers, purchase STEM supplies and provide gift cards as attendance incentives for students," the board was told during the Sept. 23 meeting.
Board members thanked MASEF for its support. The donation was included as part of the consent agenda approved by roll call; the recorded ayes on that vote listed Amanda Weiss, Suzie Hester, Josh Streu, Lesley Pace, Nikki Misiura and Matt Erbstoesser.
