Parks and Recreation staff updated council on upcoming programs and requested routine event spending approvals. Council noted a $1,500 donation from Bolton and Mink for Music in the Park was already accepted on the consent agenda. Council later authorized hiring Roadhouse for $2,000 for the August 1 Music in the Park performance and approved spending $1,000 to rent a band shell from the City of Buffalo, as well as a $100 sponsorship to include the city's name on t-shirts at a June 9 grand opening.
Parks staff detailed program dates for an archery program in April and said the band shell would help protect performers "rather rain or shine." The motions to authorize the payments and sponsorships passed by unanimous vote.
