The Village of Makanda Board on April 7 approved Resolution 2025-2, authorizing the use of village funds, including certificates of deposit, to purchase a Bobcat compact track loader. Trustee Wolff moved approval and Trustee Ross seconded; a voice vote recorded all present voting yes.
Trustee Hilliard earlier reported that the new Bobcat has been useful for clearing limbs off roads and was used to spread milled asphalt from McGuire Road to reinforce the Maintenance Building parking area. The resolution formalizes the village’s financing approach for the equipment purchase.
