The Village of Makanda Board of Trustees appointed Kevin Hagler to a vacant trustee seat following an executive session at its May 13 meeting.
Trustee Wolff moved to send the appointment discussion into executive session; Trustee Ross seconded and the board recessed at 8:47 p.m. The board reconvened at 9:03 p.m., at which point Trustee Wolff moved to appoint Hagler, Trustee Ross seconded, and a voice vote of all members present carried the motion.
Hagler introduced himself during the Citizen’s Hearing and said he was interested in serving on the board. The meeting record shows the board’s action was a formal appointment rather than an election; no dissenting votes were recorded.
