Facilities update: playground punch-list, water leak repairs and large surplus disposition
Summary
Staff reported final punch-list work for a playground and shade structure, water-leak repairs, alarm upgrades, routine maintenance and a large Rock Creek surplus project that resulted in donations and equipment shipments overseas.
District facilities staff told trustees that the EVCAME playground and shade structure are near completion with a few punch-list items (rubber-mat repairs, concrete transition) and a pending DSA inspection. Staff reported a water leak repair at EVK, alarm-system upgrades to reduce unnecessary callouts, and planned tree pruning to mitigate hazards.
Facilities staff also updated the board on the Rock Creek surplus effort: many items have been sold or donated, and several truckloads of chairs were scheduled to ship to Ghana. The district has coordinated transfers of reusable equipment to local districts and county partners. A separate small gate and drainage project to improve TK access at Auburn Elementary is in the bidding stage.
