The Story County Board approved two resolutions on Feb. 24 to set public hearings on amendments to the county’s land development regulations. Resolution #26‑61 schedules first consideration of Ordinance No. 329 (amending Chapters 85 and 86 and rescinding Ordinance No. 311). Resolution #26‑62 schedules first consideration of Ordinance No. 330, which proposes amendments to Chapters 85, 86, 88 and 90 to address uses for digital asset mining, cryptocurrency operations, data processing centers and battery/energy storage solutions in unincorporated Story County.
Both resolutions set hearings for March 3, 2026, in the Story County Administration Building. The items were approved as part of the consent agenda; the resolutions will bring the ordinances to public hearing for first consideration and public comment at the scheduled date.
