The Story County Board of Supervisors convened Feb. 24, 2026, and on a roll call vote approved the day’s agenda and routine business, including minutes, a personnel hire and county claims. Supervisor Lisa Heddens moved to adopt the agenda and Supervisor Linda Murken seconded; the board recorded that the "motion carried unanimously (MCU)."
Among personnel actions approved was a new hire in Secondary Roads: Ryan Rasmussen, effective March 2, 2026, at $30.80 per hour. The board also authorized payment of claims totaling $1,117,804.47 (run date Feb. 20, 2026; 31 pages on file in the Auditor’s Office) and approved departmental payment requests including CIDTF $18,973.79; Holding‑Seized Funds $18,357.63; Emergency Management $898.50; E911 $23,384.61; County Assessor $2,597.92; and City Assessor $81,216.61.
The approvals were recorded as unanimous on roll call; Murken presided with Heddens voting in favor and Latifah Faisal noted as absent. The consent agenda, which consolidated several of those items, was approved as presented. The board adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
