Inland Wetlands Commission approves Quinnipiac Street (Wallace Raceway) application with conditions

The Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission voted to approve application A26-3.2 for Quinnipiac Street (Wallace Raceway) with conditions drawn from the Wright Pierce report dated June 1, 2026. The decision followed a presentation by Mike Fanning, an engineer with WMC Consulting Engineers, and a commission discussion about wetland and hydrologic impacts.

Mike Fanning said the project team revised the plans and reduced impacts; he told the commission that "the revised number for the upland area is 14,035 square feet." The chair called the motion to deem the application not a significant activity and then to approve it with the recommended conditions; both motions were made, seconded and carried on voice votes. The commission and applicant agreed to include the Wright Pierce report's final-paragraph conditions in the approval.
