The Laporte Public School District Board of Education voted Aug. 18 to increase school meal prices by $0.10 across all categories, including milk, for the 2025–26 school year. The motion (moved by Karl Beck, seconded by Stacie Shuster) passed on a unanimous roll call of members present.
Board minutes record the change as a single line item under new business; no additional district staff commentary or projected revenue estimates were recorded in the minutes. The change takes effect for the 2025–26 school year and will apply to meals served beginning with the return to school in late August.
