At the regular meeting, the board recognized four Jefferson students who attended the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis June 16–21 and heard an account of the trip from their advisor, Krista.
Krista described the students' competitions and community outreach, noting, "All 4 of our students this year competed," and highlighting events ranging from life-support skills and extemporaneous writing to health-education lessons taught to parents and staff. She thanked chaperone Lizzie Vasilski and local supporters, and described the emotional presentations, including a session with a bone marrow transplant recipient.
The board applauded the students and acknowledged donations that helped underwrite travel costs. No formal action was required; the recognition was recorded in the minutes.
