The Independent School District No. 775 (KMS Public Schools) board met Feb. 9, 2026 and approved a package of routine business, including minutes and bills, and agreed to defer approval of the 20262027 school calendar until the March meeting.
Chair Todd Rudningen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the board voted on a series of motions early in the meeting. A motion by Harmon Wilts, seconded by Carla Olson, approved the agenda with the explicit change that agenda item #8 (the 20262027 school calendar) be moved to March. Subsequent motions to approve the Jan. 12 minutes and to accept bills and electronic funds payments were recorded; roll call listed Collins, Olson, Finstrom, Wilts and Rudningen as voting members present.
The board also voted to approve submission of the districtpay equity report, a requirement completed every three years, on a motion by Sean Collins and second by Erik Finstrom. Meeting minutes state the motions were approved 500. The board scheduled a work session for April 13 at 5:15 p.m. to continue strategic planning and wrap up related items.
The minutes note there were no public comments at the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:33 p.m.
