Todd Perrault told the board the town secured its fourth grant that will fund five generators to be installed at the sewer district's main pumping stations. He described the generators as improving redundancy so that during storms crews will not have to rely on contractor pumping services as often.
The board responded positively to the news and thanked staff for pursuing grants that reduce operational disruptions during severe weather. The town manager and EMA will coordinate installation planning and notify the board of implementation timing.
