Hill City School accepts community donations for branding, athletics and student needs

The Hill City School Board unanimously accepted donations from local organizations at its Dec. 15, 2025 meeting. The Hill City Lions Club committed $10,000 for school branding and additional funds for wrestling ($2,000) and boys basketball ($1,500). The Hill City Thrift Store pledged more than $3,000 in targeted gifts for music, prom, classroom winter items and student events.
Jeremy Nelson presented the donation acceptance resolution; the motion was seconded by Joell Miranda and approved on a recorded roll-call vote with all members present voting yes except for one absence (Ron Saxton). The board recorded gratitude and recognized community partners for supporting extracurricular and student needs.
