On a motion by Andy Lindow, seconded by Ben Hass, the Nevis school board approved a consent agenda including donations, staff contracts and policy updates. Donors recorded in the minutes included the Gene Haas Foundation ($3,000), Paul Bunyan Communications ($1,000) and local contributors to athletics and clubs for a total of $7,750.00. Personnel actions recorded included a resignation from Suki Peterson effective May 26, 2026; a letter of intent to retire from Angela Ahrendt effective May 26, 2026; continuing contracts for multiple teachers; summer work and extended school year agreements; a long-term substitute assignment for Kimberly Hardwig effective April 28–May 22, 2026; and a 1.0 FTE elementary teacher contract for Sydney Strand for the 2026–2027 school year.
The board also approved final readings of policy updates to School Board Policies 410 (Family and Medical Leave Plan), 515 (Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records), 530 (Immunization Requirements) and 615 (Testing Accommodations, Modifications, and Exemptions for IEPs, Section 504 Plans and LEP Students). The motion carried unanimously; minutes list no amendments to the policies beyond the final readings.
