Jessica Ledesma, representing the SRSU International Small Business Development Center, told attendees the center offers no‑cost advising, trainings and connections to financing and market research. She said services include business advising, help preparing loan applications, bookkeeping and marketing support, and assistance for government contracting and international trade.
Ledesma emphasized confidentiality for one‑on‑one advising and said the SBDC covers a multi‑county region and offers both in‑person and online assistance. “Everything's confidential,” she said, urging business owners to make appointments and to use the SBDC as a starting point for permitting, financing or planning questions. She also described training opportunities and specialty resources available through the SBDC network.
The SBDC representative gave contact details for the local office and encouraged continued engagement with the city’s economic development and community development offices to coordinate support for new and expanding businesses.
