"On today's consent agenda, under community development, we have a resolution to accept the Atlanta Regional Commission Community Development Assistance program funds for a comprehensive county wide housing plan in the amount of $200,000, authorizing a local match in the amount of $40,000," Kevin Johnson read. He also described a county attorney resolution authorizing acquisition of several parcels located on John Frank Ward Boulevard and Turner Street in McDonough and authorizing expenditure of $2,229,791.19 for the purchase.
After questions from commissioners, the board moved, seconded and approved the entire consent agenda by voice vote. The consent agenda also included a resolution declaring surplus furniture and equipment; additional details were contained in the board packet's exhibit A. Any acceptance of grant awards or execution of documents referenced in the consent agenda will be completed under the authorities and signatures authorized as described in the agenda items.
