A Jamestown resident speaking from the public-comment period alleged that federal, state and local agencies participated in "oppressive acts" and that the FBI and Jamestown police harassed him while he attempted to present evidence related to the 2022 Buffalo supermarket shootings.
"All government from federal, state, and local agencies in Jamestown are participating in these oppressive acts," the speaker said, citing personal research, media reports and meetings at the Robert H. Jackson Center. The remarks named Governor Hochul and New York Attorney General Letitia James as having launched investigations following the 2022 killings but were the speaker's assertions and were not corroborated at the meeting.
The speaker said he had attempted to provide evidence to federal defenders and U.S. attorneys and alleged interception of calls and entrapment; the council did not provide an on-the-record rebuttal or formal response during the meeting. These statements were delivered during the public-comment period and were presented as the speaker's claims rather than findings of the council.
