Staff to convey PennDOT portion of right‑of‑way for Trexler Town development; remainder to return to owner

Mark explained that Western Lehigh Services, the developer at 1500 Trexler Town, learned in HOP coordination that the township holds title to certain right‑of‑way. To expedite the developer’s PennDOT permitting, staff recommended dedicating the portion PennDOT requires directly to PennDOT and conveying the remainder back to the private property owner so the township right‑of‑way can be extinguished.
"The deeds will be prepared. They are being prepared by the developer's attorney for my review," Mark said. He told the board a resolution authorizing the conveyance and related paperwork should come back for consideration in August. Commissioners asked clarifying questions and expressed general acceptance of the staff recommendation; no formal resolution was taken at the workshop.
Staff said the approach was designed to be efficient for the developer and to ensure PennDOT receives the portion of ROW it needs for state road improvements on Trexler/Trexler Town Road.
