Resident at Daugherty Circle seeks sewer hookup; staff supports planning module

Township planner Vince told the board that a residential property in the Hidden Valley Farms subdivision on Daugherty (transcript variably spelled Doggerty/Dougherty) Circle filed a sewage facilities planning module to connect from on‑lot septic to the township sanitary system because the homeowner’s system is failing.

"This is a residential property, in the Hidden Valley Farms residential subdivision…there is sewer capacity there," Vince said, adding that one property in the cul‑de‑sac is seeking to connect rather than replace a failing system and that staff had no objections to the module as submitted. Engineer McAdam said the main and a terminal manhole installed with prior development are nearby, and laterals were likely stubbed at the right‑of‑way when the main was installed, which would make connection straightforward.

Commissioners asked staff to confirm connection fees and other district‑specific costs; Vince said he would research the fee and return with the amount. No formal board action was taken at the workshop; staff recommended approval and offered to answer follow‑up questions when the item returns to a meeting agenda.
