Student volunteers say near-10,000 hydration supplies headed to Homewood Fire Department

Students from All the Same Alabama and partner Project Pulmonary presented a hydration-drive donation to the Homewood Fire Department, saying the campaign will donate nearly 10,000 water bottles and other supplies to first responders across Alabama.
All the Same Alabama vice president Zoe Furl told the council her organization and partner Project Pulmonary have carried out school-supply and hygiene drives and are now focused on supplies for firefighters. "By the conclusion of this drive, we'll have donated almost 10,000 water bottles and other hydration supplies," she said.
Mayor Andrews thanked the young volunteers and noted they would bring supplies to Station 1, where the firefighters would be able to receive them in person. The presentation did not require council action; it was accepted with appreciation and volunteers were invited to meet fire personnel and take photos with the department's apparatus.
