The board approved an ACP Entertainment contract to provide inflatables for National Night Out on Aug. 4 at Studebaker Park from 5 to 7 p.m., authorizing the vendor at a not-to-exceed cost of $4,238.26 pending legal approval. Interim Chief Andy said the event is an opportunity for the community to meet law-enforcement personnel and staff from multiple divisions.
Chief Andy described the planned activities: "It's where, you know, law enforcement has the opportunity to invite the community out to kind of speak with and see all the divisions." Members asked legal questions about prior denials of bounce houses in parks and discussed insurance and vendor capability; staff confirmed the vendor had been reviewed by legal and that final adjustments would be made before execution.
