The board approved several routine but substantive items for the coming school year, including the second reading of KSBA policy procedures to make them district policy, the 2026–27 student handbook after a thorough review, and the schedule of classes covering core and elective offerings. "We spent more time on the handbook than we ever have," the superintendent said during the discussion.
The board also approved procurement and service agreements: awards for food-service bids through KVEC, continuation of occupational and physical therapy contracts (and addition of a second psychological provider), a standard AE contract with Fletcher County, a memorandum of agreement with Operation Unite for drug-prevention programming, and a standing MOU with the Kentucky River District Health Department for use of school facilities in a public-health emergency. Each motion was made, seconded and approved by voice vote as recorded in the meeting.
