He walked the board through three audit components—financial-statement opinion, internal-control/compliance testing and the single-audit review for federal funds—and noted the district received the clean opinion while auditors recorded two findings: adjustments needed to present the financial statements correctly and bank statements not reconciled on time.
Allen said the single-audit work on federal expenditures produced no findings. Superintendent and finance staff acknowledged the bank-reconciliation finding and said they are working with the auditor and outside resources to correct it; the corrective action plan is included in the audit report (page 82). The auditor also cited the general fund ending balance for 2025 as $973,924.
